The King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood is a historically African American neighborhood in Columbus and the site of considerable revitalization and renovation projects on behalf of the city, including the historic Lincoln Theatre.

Join GenNext as we lend a hand in this historic neighborhood on Saturday, January 30. Volunteer opportunities include everything from photographing neighborhood properties for an area directory to clearing brush and doing light administrative work for the King Arts Center.

And, of course, the “Happy to Volunteer Hour” will wrap up the day’s hard work. Join us at Zanzibar Brews at 750 East Long Street from 2-4 p.m. and enjoy good food, drinks and friends!

 




EITC Volunteer Day

When: Saturday, February, 6; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: Central Community House

Help hardworking low-and moderate-income families prepare their taxes and receive the refunds they need and deserve. Volunteers are required to attend a 3-hour training session to learn about the tax preparation software.

Space is limited to the first 15 volunteers.



Touch of Gourmet

When: Wednesday, March 10; 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Where: 931 Trueman Blvd., Hilliard (43206)

Help prepare meals for families of cancer patients. Cooking experience not required! Snacks and light refreshments provided. Space is limited to the first 20 people that register.
